MADRID, Spain - Tour de France champion Alberto Contador has agreed to finish the final year of his Astana contract on condition that the team receives its Pro Tour license.
Contador says that the agreement to remain with the Kahzak-based team through 2010 also depends on the team maintaining its strict internal doping controls.
Contador says he reached the decision after Astana hired Yvon Sanquer as team manager and Giuseppe Martinelli as sport director.
