Coalcorp shares up nearly 70 per cent after settlement with Glencore

TORONTO - Shares of Coalcorp Mining Inc. (TSX:CCJ) were up nearly 70 per cent on Wednesday, a day after the company said it has reached a settlement with Glencore International A.G. regarding a sales contract.

The stock gained 14 cents or 68 per cent to close at 34.5 cents on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

After the close of markets Tuesday, the company said it has settled arbitrations regarding two sales contracts without any admission of liability.

Coalcorp holds an interest in coal mines in Colombia.
