The Glen Jolliffe foursome produced a 122 to earn a convincing six-shot win at the Twin Lakes Golf Resort senior men’s day “4 man team, 1-2-3” competition.

Other members of the winning squad were Don Affleck, Gary Nevard and Gerry Chalmers.

Second place at 128 went to Gerry Nimchuk, Bill Rogocky and Barry Palmer,

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Kevin Benson on No. 2, Dave Myles on No. 7 and Ron English on No. 13. Jollliffe on No. 8 and Reid Sutherland on No. 14 hand long putts while deuces were notched by Kevin Benson and Don Allbright.

Bob Fortune logged an 81 to take low gross honors at the Summerland Golf and Country Club senior men’s day “one gross, 3 net scores” event on Thursday.

Other low gross winners were Craig Woollven at 93 in the second flight and Dick Drewnisz with a terrific 88 in the third.

Low net flight winners were Dennis Glasscock at 70, Doug Marchesi at 73 and Terry Steinke at 72.

Dave Smith and Ken Blower shared the deuce pot.

The team of Tony Cobb, Charlie Mirabelli, Dirk Schmitt and Keith Koppert carded a 116 to post a two-shot win at the Penticton Golf and Country Club senior men’s day “4 Man Waltz” outing Wednesday.

Tied for second at 118 were the teams of Hendrik Keij, Gord McKay, John McMullen and Gary Napper, and Lorne Miller, Bruce Anderson, Flip Murray and Larry Kowal.

A total of 101 golfers took part.

Pat Gartrell logged a 72 to top the first flight at the Summerland Golf and Country Club ladies’ day low net competition on Tuesday.

Helen Pybus and Lil Smith tied for second at 73.

Kathy Larkin was the best in the second flight at 72 with Ellen Clay one off the pace at 73.
