Toronto police say they're investigating after a body was found in a burnt-out vehicle in the city's east end.

Police say they responded to the incident just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a city park in Scarborough.

They say officers found the body in the car after firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Investigators say there isn't any information on the age or sex of the deceased.

Police say the incident is being investigated as suspicious.

They're asking anyone with information to get in touch.
