A longtime Summerland lifeguard charged with multiple sex crimes has had his bail hearing delayed for a second time.
Edward Casavant, 54, of Penticton appeared in court via videoconference, Wednesday. His alleged crimes include two counts of making or publishing child pornography, and single counts of sexual assault, sexually exploiting a person with a disability and secretly recording nudity in a private place.
Casavant, also known as “Eddie Spaghetti,” was employed as a lifeguard and supervisor at the Summerland aquatic centre for 30 years before retiring in late 2018.
His retirement corresponded with the start of the police investigation in November.
Two victims have been identified, but police believe there could be more, saying they also believe Casavent "used his position to gain access to school-aged children."
