Construction activity was on the rise last year in Oliver.

Town staff issued a total of 75 building permits for work valued at $10.9 million in 2020, compared to 64 permits worth $8 million in 2019, according to a report presented to council at its meeting this week.

Much of the activity was associated with permits for 14 new homes with total construction value of $7.3 million. That was up from 12 such permits worth $5.2 million in the year-ago period.
