Angel hoping to hit $30,000 mark

Even though Christmas is well over, the Penticton Herald's Be An Angel campaign continues throughout the holiday season until Dec. 31.

When our offices closed on Christmas Eve for the holiday, we had reached the $22,700 mark of our $30,000 goal.

All proceeds from the project go towards the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club for needy families as well as Valley First's Feed the Valley project. One-hundred per cent of the money donated stays in the South Okanagan and there is no administrative fees collected.

"We're hoping to reach $30,000," said Herald managing editor James Miller. "Even though Christmas has come and gone for another year, there are families which require love and support throughout the entire year. Herald readers have always been generous and we hope that if they didn't get a chance to donate prior to Christmas that they will consider doing so in the next few days."

Donations can be made on-line by visiting www.pentictonherald.ca or at The Herald's offices in person at 101-186 Nanaimo Ave. W. between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.
