Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ashton are combining a business trip and holiday this week in Vancouver.

Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Bird, Burnaby St., have been their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Campbell, Lynne, Colin, and Murray of Port Coquitlam, and their son-in-law, Ken Davis with children Julie and Roddy of North Surrey.

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cook, Rodney, Daphne, and Gordon of Skaha Lake, have returned from a three-week holiday in Mexico and Southern California. They were joined on New Year’s Day in Los Angeles by Mrs. Cook’s father, S. R. Manery of Cawston.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMorland of North Bend were recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hendry, Burns St.

Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Newnham are leaving by plane on Saturday for their home on Salt Spring Island, after visiting with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Rathbun, Vancouver Ave.

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dillard of Vernon, were recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Webster, Orchard. Ave., and with Mr. Dillard’s aunt Miss Kathleen Ellis, Cambie St.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Nelson-Smith and daughter Barbara have returned to their home on Main St. after visiting in Burnaby with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Knox, and in North Vancouver with their son, Leigh.

Friends of Mrs. Bessie MacDonald will be please to hear she has returned to her home in the Bel Aire apartments, Fairview Rd. after being confined to hospital.

Bill Perkins has returned to Laval University in Quebec City, after being in town to attend the wedding of his brother, Bob, to Margot McCulloch, which took place last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. F. K. Woodley and son Allan of Calgary have been visiting with Mrs. Woodley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Taylor, Heales Ave., for the past two weeks.

Guests at the home of Mrs. W. X. Perkins, Alexander Ave., have been her sister Mrs. W. H. Biner, of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lynch of Seattle.

Mr. and Mrs. Garvin Rose, their children Nena, Ilene, and Brian have returned from a vacation spent in Southern California.

Mr. and Mrs. L, A. Matheson of Lloydminster, Alberta, were overnight guests in Penticton with Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Stewart, also of Lloydminster, who are spending the winter in Penticton at the Crown Motel.

Miss Georgiana Bowen-Colthurst has returned to Whitworth College, Spokane, after spending the holidays with her parents. Capt. and Mrs. J. Bowen-Colthurst, Naramata Rd.
