I am tired of being complacent as I go into stores and restaurants in the area to see "Happy Holidays." What is wrong with "Merry Christmas?"
It seems like the minority have taken over and we have to tip toe around so we won't offend them. Well, it's about time we stood up for what we believe in. We believe in Christmas Ð we celebrate the birth of Christ and we are celebrating that special event. We are not celebrating "holidays."
My friends and I go to McDonald's in Westbank every morning for coffee and to chat and mingle. We noticed the decoration above the cashiers says "Happy Holidays."
When we inquired about adding a Merry Christmas decoration next to it, we were told management said they have to be generic so no Merry Christmas. Generic Ð can you believe that?
Well, Merry Generic Christmas to you, too, McDonald's.
Are there any places we can meet for morning coffee in Westbank where we can see a Merry Christmas greeting hanging?
