So Mr. Harper is "very upset"over the Senate fiasco (Herald, May 22). Tough. As a loyal Canadian, I am also very upset, but also disgusted and embarrassed with my government.

This is an open letter to all chiefs, grand chiefs and Aboriginal leaders in British Columbia. The last election has cemented our government's view that the resources of our province are up for sale.

I read that Mike Pearce is thinking about re-entering politics (Herald, May 21). For what it's worth, here's my two-bits' worth.

We totally agree with Bob Purdy of Kelowna that it's time for "power to the people" to become a reality (Okanagan Saturday, May 18)!

Am I missing something?

If my husband stole $90,000 from his place of employment he would be fired, arrested and they would throw the key away. So how can we trust Prime Minister Harper to elect anyone to the Senate when he has no control or could care less what they do.
