Jamie Wolanski appeared briefly Monday in B.C. Supreme Court in Penticton and had his case put over to Feb. 25. Justice Alison Beames noted a 10-day trial is planned but two blocks of appropriate court time available in Penticton for the remainder of this year.
She said Wolanski's new lawyer should not to wait much longer before moving to set a trial date. One alternative, Beames said, could see the trial moved to Kelowna instead.
Wolanski was charged with the June 17, 2011 death of 16-year-old Andrew McAdam. The Grade 11 student was stabbed during a grad "sunset" party in the upper Carmi area, east of Penticton.
