Whistle Down the Wind by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman and presented by Soundstage Productions opened at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, Wednesday for the first of five shows. In this photo by Gord Wylie of Wylie Photography, performing a scene from the first act are, from left, Saige Carlson (Swallow), Beamer Wigley (Poor Baby) and Tiana Ferlizza (Brat). The play continues through Saturday. Wednesday's show received a standing ovation from an audience unfamiliar with the material. This is the first time a theatre company has performed the show which debuted (in this form) in 1996 in London, England. It includes the songs "Tire Tracks", "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste" and "Home By Now", a No. 1 song in the UK by Boyzone.
