Kruger continues as chief

Jonathan Kruger has been re-elected as chief of the Penticton Indian Band.

Kruger received 143 votes in Wednesday’s election, defeating second-place finisher Joe Johnson who was well back with 84.

In third place was Laurie Wilson with 35 votes, Lavern Jack with 17 and Joseph St. Pierre had 16.

There were two spoiled ballots.
