Carrying on a military tradition, Capt. Irene Wangler, commanding officer of 1705 Royal Canadian Cadet Corps in Vernon, and deputy commanding officer Capt. Mitch Steck serve Christmas dinner to Cadet Ryan Rumsey, the youngest cadet in the corps. Ryan carried the rank of captain for the dinner, which was served to all the cadets and their parents at the armouries in Vernon.
